Whinchat Barns are 2 lovingly converted barns in the Devon countryside that sleep 11 guests in 5 bedrooms. Sitting side by side the barns are great for extended families celebrating a special birthday or anniversary, or for two families who wish to enjoy a holiday together yet still have their own space.

Dippers Rest and Wagtail Corner can be booked together as Whinchat Barns; once used for storing hay and as a cattle shelter, these gorgeous holiday cottages have centuries old country character with thick stone walls, chunky timbers and original window openings. Wagtail Corner sleeps 5 and has a big open plan living space downstairs (kitchen, dining and living room); if all 11 of you want to dine together you can request a table to seat you all in here. Upstairs are the 2 bedrooms (1 en suite) and a bathroom.

Dippers Rest sleeps 6 and has a big open plan living space, a shower room and 2 bedrooms on the ground floor; upstairs there’s another bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Both cottages are furnished in an uncluttered modern style that works well with the age old features; they each have a garden (unfenced) with outdoor furniture and a barbecue, and Dippers Rest has a private hot tub.
