Wagtail Corner is a dog friendly converted shippen tucked away in the lanes, surrounded by the Blackdown Hills AONB. This very welcoming cottage is perfect for family holidays, days away with friends and walking breaks.

In country dialect, a shippen is a cowshed, so back in the day this was where cattle were brought in from the fields to spend the winter. The thick stone walls and some of the big old timbers remain, giving the cottage its rustic character. The ground floor is one big open plan kitchen, dining and living room. Upstairs are the two bedrooms (1 en suite) and a bathroom.

If you’re here in the colder months of the year, light the wood-burner after a walk to the river and back; in the summer enjoy unhurried barbecues in the garden.
