Curlews Halt was once a hay barn on a working farm on the Somerset Levels; now it’s been given a new lease of life as a holiday cottage that offers stylish self catering accommodation for family holidays, days away with friends, romantic weekends and walking breaks in the country.

The cottage sleeps 4 guests in two bedrooms; both are on the ground floor along with a very up-to-the-minute shower room. The whole of the first floor is a light and airy open plan living space with a good sized lounge area and to one end, a well equipped kitchen with a table and chairs. Outside there’s a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue, and an outdoor bath with piped hot water, making a charming alternative to a hot tub.

The furnishings and décor at Curlews Halt have been carefully chosen to give a wonderfully welcoming 'hygge' feel, with a wood burner to bring added warmth and ambience during the colder months. The fabric of the old barn remains, with rustic character and industrial elements merging seamlessly with the more modern interiors. The feels are gentle and relaxing so you’re bound to settle straight in and enjoy every moment of your holiday or short break.

This very appealing holiday cottage is set in a very quiet hamlet with beautiful countryside all around. There are walks from the doorstep, charming country inns and attractions to visit nearby, and within an hours’ drive, the varied beaches of the Devon and Dorset coast.
